Welcoming guests with disabilities
Our staff are aware and trained to the special requirements of those with different disabilities.
Castel Camping La Garangeoire complies with the legal French standards that aim to allow people with disabilities to move with the greatest possible autonomy, to access the premises and equipment, to use equipment and services and communicate.
Our equipment
60 pitches for tents, caravans and mobile-homes are very easily accessible. We provide a guaranteed accessible accommodation for wheelchair users: the Life mobile home iis equipped with a ramp for wheelchair access and is specifically designed for ease of use by those of reduced mobility. Two chalets located in close proximity to Reception and all necessary services have level flooring and are particularly adapted for those of limited mobility.
Our teams are at your disposal to help organizing the rental and installation of a medical bed or handling equipment, according to your needs.
A portable magnetic loop for the hearing impaired is available in reception to help those with hearing problems.
Access to the swimming-pool is adapted and there is an « Aquasiège » chairlift system that aids access to the main heated pool.
Frequently asked questions
Are the buildings wheelchair-accessible?
All of the facilities are accessible: the reception; swimming pool complex; the bar; the restaurant; the on-site shop; the Kids Club and other activities; the games room; sanitary blocks.
Are the sports pitches and other facilities easily accessible by wheelchair?
The multisport court and the tennis courts are very easily accessible. The play park is surrounded by grass.
Autonomous access to the pedal karting circuit, to the artificial beach and to the lake is not possible by wheelchair. However, the reception staff are available to drive to these locations in the campsite’s electric golf carts.
Are there disabled parking spaces?
A parking space is especially reserved at the entrance of the campsite, near to the reception and easily accessible by wheelchair.
All of our pitches have parking space for one vehicle, except Safari Premium and Castels Suite Premium pitches.
Is the swimming pool accessible?
The foot basin at the entrance is wheelchair accessible and there is a pool attendant if help is needed opening the security gate.
There is an « Aquasiège » chairlift system that aids access to the largest swimming pool.
How are the toilets and shower facilities equipped?
Four wash blocks (toilets, showers, washbasins) have cubicles provided for persons of limited mobility. These are located at the swimming pool, in the restaurant, beside reception and in the main caravan and tents camping block.
Can children with disabilities participate in the activities provided by the Kids Club?
The Kids Club is open from 10am to 12pm, 6 days out of 7 in July and August. Just let the leaders know in advance that your child will be attending so that the activities can be tailored to your child’s requirements.
Is there someone to contact during the night in case of an emergency?
During the entire period that the campsite is open there is a responsible contact available 24/7.
From mid-May to mid-September there is a night-watchman who patrols the site.
The night-watchmen and the reception staff responsible have the appropriate first aid qualifications.
An automatic defibrillator is available on the front of the night-watchman’s chalet, located beside the “Life” mobile-home and the reception.
Are guide dogs accepted?
Pets are accepted, with extra-charge, on the touring pitches and in most of the mobile-homes and chalets, including the mobile-home “Life”.
Guide and assistance dogs are welcome with no extra-charge.
Will you be able to advise accessible restaurants, beaches or attraction parks?
